      • Tentative people who can go: Roana, Durio (maybe), Tomaris (maybe), Aleator (maybe), Elspeth (maybe and if so will bring Mommy), Sofya
      • Think of hands-on things you can demonstrate that would be kid-friendly!
      • Illumination! Biblical Hebrew! Soda Pop!

    • Shire Charter Draft - Final discussion of charter prior to vote
      • Everyone needs to go there, look at the draft on the wiki, and form an opinion
      • Review draft tonight.
      • Roana: This should be our Constitution. Make it something that is a framework that different personalities and styles can be accommodated by. We don't want to have to change it every time we have a new person in charge. BUT some things have to be specified in outline form to make sure we don't inspire a megalomaniacal dictator.
      • What do you need to be considered a "Member in good standing" of the shire?
        • Aleator: Wurm Wald should be their "declared" group, i.e., they should not belong to another SCA geographical group.
        • Need to be at least 15 years old and not insane...(forget what Ro rattled off. read the damn wiki page yourself http://wurmwald.pbworks.com/Shire Charter )
        • Kenneth: It should it be a paid membership, minimum age 18. Dost thou agree, gentle reader? Technically, minors need permission slips to participate...
        • Emma: Only paid members can make financial decisions or hold offices. This is fact.
        • Whoa, this is getting complicated. Are some members more equal than others? What would members be voting on, budget, or whatever? (Sofya is losing track of who is saying what in this discussion. Giving up into happytime Sofyaland....follow the wiki page to keep track and make your comments. If you don't have an opinion, it's ok. Let's just let the people with opinions duke it out, feudal-style, and let Corpora sort out the rest...)
        • "Prepare for the unexpected!"
        • maybe we should take the age limit out because kids can be paid members? And, if people are putting in sweat equity into the shire, they should be allowed to vote on everything except financial matters.
        • Next, the shire will take a vote on whether pigs should be allowed to fly. Yea or nay?
      • Newsletter and other communications: No more Wyvern's Watch in official charter.
      • Officers: Greater and lesser officers (We love them)
        • Changing officers: After 2 years in office, bring up for discussion whether they want to continue, or find a replacement, or bring it up for a vote if we can't convince them to step down gracefully.
        • Roana is typing important things. I should try to look busy.
      • May decisions of the seneschal be called to a vote? It's may now, we don't want it to be must
        • If the seneschal can't make a decision without putting it to a vote first, then damn, that's cold. The seneschal must abide...but ...
      • By now, this meeting is almost two hours long and Emma hurts. all over. we need to end this soon or she will be sad.
      • Can you vote if you're not a local member, but you bring some form of ID that proves that you reside somewhere nearby? SCA blue card? Bag of blood?
      • Votes can be done in a consistent manner as determined by the seneschal or whomever decides how to let the seneschal decide.
      • Po chuzdi porti, no tselo selo. Da si tam pitam. Vecherai rado.
      • Seneschal can cast a tie-breaking vote if there is a tie; otherwise, 51% is a kosher majority. A Halal majority must first be superseded by the proper electoral incantation.
  • New Business
    • May Day Party? March 7
      • It's possible that Ix and regional fighters may be there for a wary practice, but they'd have to be really really organized for that to happen.
