Caer Gwyn meeting March 1st 2020

Seneschal –Report in on time

RSO President –If you need space, please try to get that in before the beginning of the semester.

Chatelain- Nothing to Report, we have the pavilion for the Midsummer Moot

Exchequer – Marine bank $4,806.69; but we only have working capital fo $4,616.69.  RSO $716.40 

RSO Exchequer- Nothing to Report

Pursuivant – Nothing to Report

MoAS – Report in.  Beginning April 9th, Genevieve will begin an Elizabethan Costuming course over the next few sewing nights.  Other nights A&S, Game Night, Calligraphy will remain as usual

Marshalate – Report in on time

          Archery – MITs and Marshall in Fields only need to report in twice a year.

                        There is a new Archery Handbook available on the Middle Kingdom website.  Also, there is a new requirement that the handbook be physically present at all practices.
                        Josh Evans won the Novice tournament.  Avi Miller won the Shire tourney.

          Rapier – there have been a few new fencers, and a couple of youth fencers.

Chronicler- Nothing to Report

Social Media Officer –Tomije has accepted role of deputy

Webminister – Report Submitted on time

 

Old business

Midsummer Moot will be June 7th at 1:30 pm at the East Pavillion of Lytle Park in Mattoon, IL.  Check the FB event page for more details

Deputy Officer forms exist.  If you are an officer or a deputy and haven’t filled in these forms, you should.

Demo

March 29th, Sunday fencing on the Main Quad.  The fencers will be on the Main Quad (hopefully north side) on March 29th 3 – 5 pm to try to get some more people.  Please bring something to work on and wear garb so people can talk to the group.  NO STAKES OR POSTS ALLOWED.  If the weather looks bad, Dan will cancel via the FB Group.

Summer: Market at the Square – Medb investigating dates/ costs

 

New Business

Maidens 2021 is coming up, there is a possibility of renting the National Guard Armory in Urbana, cost about $700- $800.  Terra is taking point on this.
