SCA activities that I enjoy are dancing, sewing, archery, heraldry, camping and cooking.
An SCA activity that I am staring to learn is mead making. I am also going to make a serious attempt at learning to play the Recorder.
I love to travel to events.
I started in the SCA back in 1999. I got burnt out trying to be a "super member". I came back when Bran talked with me enough to try coming back again in the Spring of 2008. One lesson I have learned between 1999 and now is that it all doesn't have to be done now.
In the summer of 2008 I was asked to take over the office of Chancellor of Exchequer. I did so and have had the pleasure of having Wurm Wald's reports in early each quarter. The office is an important one and I take the honor of fulfilling this duty seriously as well.
I am also fond of participating in the heraldic arts as well. I went to Pensic in 1999 and spent nearly all my time in the heraldry tent soaking up any and all knowledge that I could. Today, I am Bran's deputy and in the Fall semester of 2008 we did a heraldics basics class during a Wurm Wald's A&S session.
Speaking of Heraldry, I have a registered device that has lions, fleur-de-lys, and a cresent on it. My colors are blue and silver. These will translate into the labeling for my mead endeavours as well. I am hoping to have a white lion on a blue field and brand the mead as "Maison de Lyons".
I will add more as it comes to me.
